Ships from: partner warehouses in the United States

Each Vexuri order is filled at the warehouse of a book distribution partner in the United States: taken from the partner’s stock, boxed on site, and collected there by the carrier.

Carrier: chosen by the warehouse

The warehouse selects the carrier for each package, and the tracking email names it. Checkout offers one service, free standard shipping, so no carrier or speed choice appears there.

Cut-off: 5 PM PT on business days

An order placed before 5 PM PT on a business day counts toward that day. An order placed at or after 5 PM PT, or on a Saturday, Sunday, or US federal holiday, counts toward the next business day. On this site, a business day means Monday to Friday, except US federal holidays. At 5 PM PT the order day closes, and the customer service phone line closes with it.

Handling: 1 to 2 business days

Handling begins on the business day an order counts toward. Within 1 to 2 business days, the warehouse picks the book, packs it, and ships it.

Transit: 6 to 7 business days

Transit begins with the carrier’s first scan of the package. The carrier delivers within 6 to 7 business days of that scan.

Estimate: 7 to 9 business days from order to door

Handling and transit together put a package at the door 7 to 9 business days after the business day the order counts toward.

Delivery area: 48 contiguous states and DC

Vexuri delivers to street addresses in the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia. Orders ship only within the United States.

Not served: Alaska, Hawaii, territories, PO boxes, military mail

Orders cannot ship to the following addresses:

  1. Alaska or Hawaii.
  2. Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, or any other US territory.
  3. PO boxes.
  4. APO, FPO, or DPO military addresses.
  5. Any address outside the United States.

When an order comes in with one of these addresses, customer service emails the reader within 1 business day and asks for a street address inside the delivery area. If no such address arrives within 24 hours of that email, the order is canceled and the full order total is refunded.

Shipping price: $0 on every order

Shipping costs $0 on every order. There is no minimum order total, and no book, format, or quantity is excluded from free shipping.

Order total: book prices plus sales tax

The order total at checkout equals the book prices plus sales tax where it applies. Shipping adds $0 to that total.

Sales tax: based on the shipping address

Sales tax is calculated at checkout from the shipping address and appears as its own line before payment. The Payment Policy describes the same calculation.

Tracking: emailed the day the order ships

A tracking email goes out on the day the package ships. It names the carrier and gives the tracking number. The first carrier scan can take up to 1 business day to appear. The Order Tracking page shows the order status with the order number and the billing email.

Split packages: possible on multi-book orders

An order with more than one book can ship in more than one package. Each package gets its own tracking number, and each one follows the same 7 to 9 business day estimate.

Address changes: 24 hours, before the order ships

A shipping address can be changed within 24 hours of placing the order, provided the order has not shipped. Send the order number and the corrected address to contact@vexuri.com. After the package ships, the address cannot be changed.

Delivered but missing: wait 48 hours, then report within 7 days

When tracking shows delivered and the package cannot be found:

  1. Look around porches, side doors, and parcel lockers, and ask neighbors and the building manager.
  2. Wait 48 hours after the delivered scan.
  3. Email contact@vexuri.com within 7 days of the delivered scan with the order number.
  4. Customer service opens a claim with the carrier and replies within 1 business day.

Stalled tracking: carrier trace after 7 business days

If tracking shows no new scan for 7 business days, customer service opens a trace with the carrier. When the carrier cannot locate the package, Vexuri ships a replacement or refunds the order in full, at the reader’s choice.

Damage or loss: report within 7 days of delivery

For a book that arrives damaged, or a package the carrier confirms as lost:

  1. Email contact@vexuri.com within 7 days of delivery, or of the carrier’s loss notice.
  2. Include the order number and photos of the book, the packaging, and the shipping label.
  3. Keep the book and the packaging until the case closes. The damaged copy stays with the reader unless customer service asks for it.
  4. Vexuri ships a replacement copy or refunds the book, at the reader’s choice, and handles any claim with the carrier.

Resolution time: 7 business days

A decision on a replacement or a refund for any delivery problem goes out within 7 business days of a complete report. A complete report has the order number and the photos or details customer service requested.

Stock shortfall: 3 options by email

If the warehouse cannot supply a book after the order is placed, customer service emails the reader within 1 business day with 3 options:

  1. Wait for the restock date given in the email.
  2. Switch to a different book.
  3. Cancel that book for a full refund.

Without a reply, the book is canceled and refunded in full.

Late orders: a new date or a full refund

If an order cannot ship within 2 business days, the end of the handling window, customer service emails the reader before that window ends. The email gives a new ship date and offers cancellation with a full refund. An order is not held past the new date without the reader’s agreement. This follows the FTC Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule.

Outside delays: weather and carrier disruptions

Severe weather, natural disasters, and carrier network disruptions can add days to transit. Tracking shows the carrier’s revised date. The late-order terms above still apply to any order that has not shipped.

Handling charges: none

No handling, packing, fuel, or processing fee is added to any order.
